Clouds

Clouds

drifting across the sky

in imaginary forms

Clouds

making imaginary images

that only the mind

can put together

Clouds

of varying shades

and shapes

Clouds

metamorphosing

Clouds

morphing

into the unknown

Clouds

metamorphosed

Clouds

floating

like the Goodyear blimp

off on the horizon

Clouds

lost

shapeless

meeting

and reforming

Clouds

like foam on the ocean

endless and everlasting

but empty in their

subtlety

Clouds

like cotton candy

pink then white

shifting shades

of gray

Clouds

filled with rain

or as

ephemeral

as infinity

ethereal

everlasting

There Is No Such Thing As The Moon

There is no such thing as the moon

My sister told me so.

She doesnŐt believe in spacemen

She sees them on TV though.

There is no such thing as the moon

ItŐs all a great big fake.

Those people dressed up as spacemen

Are actors by a lake.

They film it in Arizona

A state thatŐs very dry.

With very few people anywhere

A desert as seen by the eye.

There is no such thing as the moon

My sister told me so.

But if there really is a moon

I really would like to go.

HOWL

Howl:

ItŐs as if the wind seems to be saying,

Dost you think I a fool?

Howl:

And the trees sway,

The night is cold, the wind makes it seem

As if the world is at an end.

You!

Do you hear?

Now you are the only living soul left.

Howl:

How the wind sets this macabre scene.

Life seems ended, no longer to live.

The trees fall and so must you.

Only the wind.

SLUSH

It snowed last night

Then mixed with rain

And now the ground

Is covered in

Slush
